Days Itinerary

You arrive in Delhi to be greeted by our Ameera Holidays representative who then takes you to the waiting comfortable coach that will take you to Shimla, the lovely hill resort and the one-time summer capital of India during the times of the British. You arrive late in the evening, refresh yourself, go for a little walk and spend the night in your hotel room.
Breakfast over you set out to drink in the charms of this seductive hill resort so beloved of the British. Your tour starts with a visit to the Kalbadevi temple and then you go on to the famous Jakhu temple. Next in line is a visit to the popular Hanuman Temple. Shimla’s Christ Church is typical British architecture dating back to the 1850s. It is the stained glass windows of this church that will hold your attention. It is time for lunch and then an excursion to nearby Kufri, a lovely and enchanting hill resort set amid forests and snow-capped mountains. Walk and take in the attractions of Fagu, the Indira Gandhi Holiday Home and enjoy a ride on a horse. You return by evening and take a stroll along the Mall.
Today is another hectic day as your morning starts with a drive to Manali. You and the group stop at Kullu valley and take in the beautiful scenery and proceed to Manali. The captivating charm of Kullu valley never fails to entrance visitors as you will find when you visit Dussehra and go on to Kulantapitha, a remote yet inhabited little hamlet that is as old as time itself. Your ride takes you through the scenic valley spread over 80 km with mountains on either side covered by lush forests of deodar and murmuring streams gamboling along playfully.
Today is a day to explore the Rohtang Pass, one of the highest motorable passes in the world. From high above you get an eagle’s eye view of the land spread around you and your trip here takes you to Snow Point and then on to Solang Valley. Solang is known as a skiing destination where people also enjoy paragliding and other sports such as scooter rides and horse rides. Tired, exhilarated and fulfilled you return to your hotel in Manali for a well-earned rest.
An early morning breakfast and then you board the coach for the drive to Dharamsala. Dharamsala is mini Tibet and the entire place is imbued with Buddhist culture. You will visit the monastery and then walk along the streets with a chance to buy handicrafts, carpets and some souvenirs to remind you of your visit. You could also try herbal remedies available here and then retire for the night in your hotel here.
We are not done with Dharamsala as you go on to McLeodganj, a charming little town. This is the residence of the Dalai Lama and you get to visit his residence and stroll through the winding streets after which it is time to go on to Dalhousie, one of the loveliest hill resorts of Himachal with overtones of colonial life still existing here. Stay the night in your hotel in Dalhousie.
A lovely golden dawn greets you and a healthy breakfast a waits. Finish with it and off you go to explore this charming colonial retreat and all its attractions. Your trip here takes you to Khajjiar, Chamba, Panchpula, Subhash Baoli and Kalatop. You also visit the Satdhara Falls and Jandri Ghat, two places of ineffable natural beauty. After that you return to main town of Dalhousie and explore central Park and have a dekko in the Church. The excursion done with, you return to your hotel room for the night.
You arrive in Amritsar and go on to visit the world famous Golden Temple where hundreds of Sikhs arrive for pilgrimage and also for daily prayers. Take a look at the prayer hall and the place where food is cooked for visitors. After that the group goes on to Jallianwala Baugh to pay respects to the martyrs of the Indian revolution. With some time left in the evening, you explore streets, shop a little, dine on local treats and retire for the night.
Visit the planned city of Chandigarh with thousands of flowers, the Sukhna Lake and Rock garden. Time permitting you could visit the Museum or the Art Gallery. Though you cannot spend much time here, you will find the visit memorable before you go on to board the coach to return to Delhi where your tour ends.
