Dwaraka is an ancient holy and extremely pious city in the westernmost state of Gujarat. It is graced by the holy presence of Lord Krishna. Along with being one of the holy pillars for the Char Dham Yatra pilgrimage in India, it is dotted with numerous big and small temples dedicated to various gods and goddesses.

Nava Dwaraka is a collection of 9 temples which are the holy Dhams and is held at extremely high reverence by the Vaishnav followers. These 9 temples are – Gomti Dwarka, Rukmini Dwarka, Bhet Dwaraka, Moola Dwaraka, Sudama Dwarka, Nathdwara, Kankroli Dwaraka, Prabhas Teerth and Dakore Dwaraka.

Days Itinerary

Your journey will begin with your arrival in Ahmedabad. You will be greeted by our tour representative on your place of arrival. You will then be transferred to the vehicle that will take you to your destination of the day, Dwarka. This will be a memorable and comfortable road trip of over 8 hours. Upon reaching Dwarka you will be checked in to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Your holy journey will begin early in the morning after breakfast. You will be taken to your first destination in Nav Dwarka Darshan which is Rukmini Devi Temple. It is located in Dwarka and is just minutes away. This 12th century temple is located on the beautiful banks of the Arabian Sea and is richly decorated and carved with gods and goddesses.

After spending some time here and offering your Darshan, you will be taken to your next destination of Beyt Dwarka. You will be transferred to a ferry from the port of Dwarka to the holy island of Beyt Dwarka. It will be one of the most exhilarating experiences of your life. The fact that Lord Krishna had once resided and ruled here immediately amps up its religious significance.

Later on, after spending quality time around Beyt Dwarka, you will be taken to your next temple of the day which is the Nageshwar Jyotirlinga and it is around an hour of road journey from Beyt Dwarka. Although not a part of Nava Dwarka group of temples, this Jyotirlinga holds a lot of importance in the life of Shiv Bhakts.

Finally after a spiritually empowering day you will then be headed back to your hotel in Dwarka for the night.

Early in the morning, after a wholesome breakfast you will be checked out of your hotel and made to head on to your next destination of the day which is Somnath. On the way, you will be taken to Porbandar which is 1.5 hours away and the road runs along the scenic coastline of Gujarat. You will be made to check out some popular sightseeing places here like Mahatma Gandhi’s birth place or Kirti Mandir, Raj Mahal and Sri Hari Temple.

Sudama temple is located just a couple of minutes away from the main city in Porbandar. The temple holds beautiful sculptures of Sudama and his wife Susheela along with Lord Krishna and his wife Rukmini. After offering your Darshan there your road trip to Somnath will begin. This is another one of the most scenic routes. Somnath is situated at a distance of around 2.5 hours from Sudama temple. On reaching Somnath you will be checked in to your hotel for an overnight stay.

After a delicious breakfast in the morning you will be checked out of your hotel in Somnath. The destination for your day will be Rajkot. On the way you will be made to cover 2 main sightseeing options. From Somnath your first stop will be at Bhalka Tirth which is located at a distance of 5 kms from the Veraval state highway. It is the place where Jara the hunter’s arrow had hit Lord Krishna and he had ascended to his heavenly abode.

After offering your prayer at Bhalka Tirth, you will be taken to the next Dwarka in the itinerary which will be Mul Dwaraka.

Mool Dwarka is located at a distance of around 2 hours from Bhalka Tirth. Mul Dwaraka is an ancient coastal village with their main attraction being a temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu and shiv. The place is especially important because it is at this very spot that lord Krishna had first set foot in Dwarka.

Finally by afternoon and after the completion of your Darshan in Mul Dwarka you will be made to head on to Rajkot. This will be a journey of Rajkot which will be a road trip of around 5 hours. So by the time you arrive in Rajkot you will be checked in to your hotel for an overnight stay.

After having your breakfast you will be made to head towards your next destination of Ahmedabad. This day will be completely dedicated to travelling as it will take around 4 to 5 hours, depending on the traffic. After checking in to your hotel in Ahmedabad you will be free to spend your time in leisure and relax for the rest of the day.

Your journey to Udaipur, the place where the next Dwarka is located will begin early in the morning post breakfast. On the way to Udaipur you will be taken for sightseeing to some of the most popular tourist attractions here. The first sightseeing destination will be the iconic temple of Ranchhodraiji temple in Dakor. The temple holds a sculpture depicting a younger and freer Lord Krishna than the more mature one Dwarkadhish.

After offering your Darshan here you will be taken to the next temple of Shamlaji which is located at a distance of around 3 hours from Ranchhodraiji Temple. Shamlaji is an 11th century temple which graces the bank of river meshwo and is of course dedicated to a form of Lord Vishnu.

After the completion of your Darshan there you will be made to head on to Udaipur which is located at a distance of almost 3 hours from Shamlaji.

On reaching Udaipur you will be checked in to your hotel for an overnight stay here.

After having your breakfast in the morning you will be made to head on to your next destination of Ahmedabad. On the way you will be covering 2 main Dwarakas of Nathdwara and Kankroli. Firstly, you will be visiting Nathdwara which is around 1 hour away from Udaipur main city.

Nathdwara is the temple city where the main attraction is the temple of Lord Shrinathji who is none other than Lord Krishna in his infant avatar. The temple dates back to the 17th century and is said to have been made on the order of Lord Shrinathji.

Later on after completing your Darshan you will be taken to the next Dwarka of Dwarkadhish in Kankroli which is around half an hour to 45 minutes away by road. The red stone idol inside the temple which is worshipped is believed to have been brought in this temple from Mathura.

After your Darshan here you will be made to drop off at your departure location in Ahmedabad. The tour will end upon your drop off in Ahmedabad. From here on you will be free to go to your desired destination.
