Days Itinerary
Your trip commences with your arrival at New Jalpaiguri, where you are greeted at the Bagdogra International Airport/Railway station by an enthusiastic representative of ameeraholidays.com who then takes you to Kalimpong. Kalimpong is a petite hill station, well known for housing many established educational institutions. Recently, it has become a popular tourist destination as it has a pleasant climate and an abundance of tourist locations in and around the region.
Kalimpong is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna, and is famous for its flower market, especially their wide array of orchids. A lot of flower nurseries engage in the export of Himalayan grown flower bulbs, tubers, and rhizomes and it is their source of revenue generation for their economy. You will find several beautiful Buddhist monasteries which exhibit their collection of rare Tibetan Buddhist scriptures.
On arrival, we’ll have you check in to your designated hotel. Later on in the day, we take you sight-seeing to the beautiful Dello hill, Science Centre, then we visit the famous Hanuman statue as well as the Durga Mandir. You will be staying overnight at Kalimpong.
After you are served with a delightful breakfast, we take you for a full day excursion to visit some of the North Bengal’s most beautiful spots. Then we head towards Lava and Rishop, two beautiful hamlets amidst the Himalayas, which are famous for its natural beauty and it offers a splendid view of the Himalayan range on a clear day. We spend another night at Kalimpong.
Your scheduled a heavy breakfast, after which we take you to Gangtok- a bustling, friendly hill station in Sikkim. Once you reach Gangtok, you check in to the hotel. And later we take you outside to see Ganesh Tok and Hanuman Tok, then to Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, and Rumtek Monastery. Then we visit the beautiful Banjhakri Falls and Tashi View Point from where Gangtok offers a magnificent view from top. You stay the night at Gangtok.
Your day begins quite early as we take you on an excursion trip to Tsomgo Lake or Changu Lake which is a very popular glacial lake in East Sikkim. Then we visit the Baba Harbhajan Temple- a temple made and revered by soldiers a former Indian Army officer named Captain Baba Harbhajan Singh who’d died near the Nathu La Pass (a mountain pass in the Himalayas which connects the Indian state of Sikkim with China’s Tibet Autonomous Region. The pass is at 4,310 m (14,140 ft) above sea level, and forms a part of the ancient Silk Road).
Believers of Baba Harbhajan, believe that his saintly soul protects the Indian soldiers in inhospitable conditions. After that, we head to the hotel and spend the night in Gangtok.
Note: Visiting all the places mentioned above, you will be required to get a special permit from the Police through the Tourism department.
Nathu La Pass: Visit Nathu La Pass entirely depend on permits and road conditions. For visiting Nathu La Pass, special permission is required from the Indian Army. Kindly note, that the pass is closed on Mondays & Tuesdays every week and during the winter season.
After you have had your breakfast, we travel to Darjeeling. On arrival, you will check-in at the respective hotel. The rest of the day is meant for relaxation or you can go for a leisure train ride on the world-famous Toy Train. In the evening, you can stroll around the local market, try their local cuisine and simply enjoy the serenity it has to offer as this will be the last night’s stay at Gangtok.
Around 3:00 am, you will be woken up as we would be taking you to Tiger Hill to catch a glimpse of a mystical sunrise over the Kanchenjunga (Subject to clear weather conditions). On the way back you can see Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop, very famous tourist spots. Later in the day, after your breakfast, we take you to some of the famous spots in Darjeeling such as HMI (Himalayan Mountaineering Institute), Zoological Gardens, and Dhirdham temple, Happy Valley Tea Estate, Lebong Race Course, Tenzing, Gombu Rock, Peace Pagoda, and Japanese temple and ride the ropeway which offers you a unique view to enjoy and photograph. The night will be spent in Darjeeling.
Return home with sweet memories. After your last breakfast at the queen of hills, we drive you back to New Jalpaiguri/Bagdogra, here your tour concludes with happy memories as you reach the New Jalpaiguri/Bagdogra Railway station /Airport for the journey to your onward destination.
