Days Itinerary
Morning breakfast over ghee group boards the coach for the 234 km drive to Somnath that will take 4 hours. However, the drive is punctuated by stops at Tara Mandir Planetarium and then stop at Porbandar to visit Kirti Mandir, home of Mahatma Gandhi followed by a visit to the temple of Sudama, Lord Krishna’s friend, and devotee and then take a brief walk along the Chowpatty beach to view the Huzoor Mahal. Board the coach once again for onward drive to Somnath. Check into your hotel room on arrival. Freshen up and set out to Bhalka tirth where, it is said, Lord Krishna was shot in the foot by an arrow. Here the group visits a Sun temple. Then we go to the main attraction-the famed Somnath Temple that was looted several times for its hoards of gold. One of the four char dhams in India, Somnath is the site of one of the 12 jyotirlingas. The evening is reserved for the sound and light show. Return to your room for the night.
Breakfast over, the group boards the coach for the drive to Ambaji. On the way, there is a stop at Siddhpur, also known as Matru Gaya. Proceed to Ambaji, one of the 51 Shakti peethas in India and have darshan at Ambaji Temple. The heart of Sati Devi is said to have fallen here. Check into a hotel on arrival and retire for the night.
Breakfast and board the coach to proceed to Mount Abu. On the way we stop at Dilwara to view the magnificently superb Jain temple with their beautiful carvings in Marble. Then, arrive in Abu and stroll to the Nakki Lake for a brief boat ride. Visit Brahma Kumari Ashram and Guru Shikhar before retiring for the night.
Breakfast and get into the coach for the drive to Nathdwara and Udaipur. On arrival at Nathdwara, we visit the famous Shrinathji temple after which the cash proceeds to Kankroli temple where there is a temple of Lord Krishna. Finally, we arrive at Udaipur. Check into hotel. Freshen up and set out to explore this city of Lakes. The main attraction is the City Palace along with other palaces alongside Lake Pichola. Next, we visit Jagdish temple built by Maharaj Jagat Singh. After visiting the museum and other attractions, retire to your room and explore Udaipur in the evening on your own.
