Tour Overview

One of the most vital and extremely important pilgrimage circuits among Hindu Vaishnavites, the char dham yatra comprises of visitation to the important and holy temples located in the four corners (east, west, north and south) of India. The all India char dham package offered by Ameera Holidays which pans for duration of 15 days and 14 nights, will take you across these sacred destinations which is believed helps you in achieving moksha and make you feel an overall sense of deep spiritualism.

Days Itinerary

Upon arriving at Delhi, your journey towards Haridwar will commence which will take 5 – 6 hours. Upon arriving in this holy town you will be immediately checked in to your allotted hotel. During late afternoon you will be guided to visit one of the most auspicious sites of panch tirth within Haridwar, Mansa Devi Mandir, which is set on top of Bilwa Parvat. After sundown, you will be taken for the evening Ganga Aarti at Har ki Pauri which is accompanied by the rhythmic chanting of prayers and mantras immersing the surroundings in deep devotion and spirituality.
Early in the morning, you will be driven to Joshimath which is a 9 – 10 hours journey (depending on the weather and terrain conditions). Upon arriving you will be duly checked into your allotted hotel which will serve as the base for your trek next day to Badrinath.

You will be made to proceed towards Badrinath Dham temple and upon arrival, you will be required to take a holy dip in the Tapt Kund located close to the main Dham mandir. Everyone is required to do so before entering the temple for darshan.

Later, after the completion of your darshan procedure you will be taken for an excursion of the nearby places like, Mana gaon (the last village of India located on the Indo-Tibetan border), Vyas Gufa (an ancient cave where sage Vyas is said to have composed the epic Mahabharata with Lord Ganesha’s help as a scribe), Charan Paduka (a rock containing the footprints of Lord Vishnu) and Bheem Pul constructed on top of Holy River Saraswati.

You will then be made to head back to your allotted hotel in Badrinath where you will be staying the night.

After completing the visit to first dham of the auspicious circuit, you will be escorted to Devprayag by road, which takes 8 hours to reach. Devprayag is an extremely pious town since it is located on the confluence point of Rivers Bhagirathi and Alaknanda giving rise to River Ganga. Upon arriving at Devprayag / Srinagar you will be immediately checked into your hotel where you will be spending the night.

Your journey towards Delhi will commence by road in the morning, which is a 9 hours journey. On your way you will be stopping for darshan at Rishikesh (located 2.5 hours away from Devprayag). Finally, upon arriving at Delhi you will be checked in to your hotel and the evening time will be free for your leisure activities.
Your eastern leg of the yatra will commence in the morning when you will be taken to Bhubaneshwar via flight. The duration of the flight is for 2 hours 30 mines. Upon arrival at Bhubaneshwar, you will be escorted to Puri on a bus journey of 2 hours. Once you arrive there you will be checked in to your hotel right away where you will be spending the night. In the evening you will head on for darshan at Jagannath temple (the 2nd dham in the char dham yatra of India). Here you will be made to be a part of the evening Aarti and your darshan of the holy deity will be complete.
Your journey towards Bhubaneshwar will commence in the morning via Konark (home to the famous Sun temple). From Puri the sun temple is located at a distance of 1 hour. This temple, dedicated to the sun god is a magnificent structure which was built in the 13th century. Available inside the temple is the holy mythological chariot of the sun god along with detailed architectural work. You will then resume your journey towards Bhubaneshwar, where upon arrival you will be taken to Parashurameshvara Temple, which was built in 7th – 8th century CE (one of the oldest existing temple in the state) and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Your next destination will be the Lingaraj temple 9 and Mukteshwar temple – both of which represent magnificent architecture and immense spirituality which radiates from them. Finally, after a temple tour of the city you will be checked in to your allotted hotel for spending the night.
Your southern leg of the Char Dham Yatra will commence today. You will be made to board the flight heading for Madurai in the morning. Upon your arrival in Madurai, you will be taken to one of the most famous temples in South, Meenakshi Amman mandir, which is a colorful and vibrant holy place and is dedicated to a form of Goddess Parvati, Meenakshi. After completing your darshan you will then be taken to a glorious 17th-century palace of Thirumalai Nayakkar, by King Thirumalai Nayak (king of the Nayak dynasty in Madurai). Located at a distance of 2 km from the Meenakshi temple this palace is an iconic representation of the grand architectural style. Your day of sightseeing in Madurai will conclude when you will be escorted to your hotel for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, your journey towards the southern leg of the char dham yatra to Rameshwaram will commence. Upon arriving at Rameshwaram you will be immediately checked in to your hotel after which your sightseeing and darshan of the city will kick start. Starting with a visit to Rameshwaram temple which is the char dham centre in South. After completing your darshan here you will be taken to different temples like, Ramjharoka Temple, Ramanathaswamy Temple and Kothandaramaswamy Temple. All these temples are considered to be extremely pious and holy.
Today you will be made to head back to Madurai which is a 4-hour road journey. Upon arriving at Madurai you will be checked in to your hotel where you will be spending the night. Evening time is free for you to do your leisure activities, like strolling in the nearby marketplaces for souvenirs or trying the local South Indian cuisines.
Your 4th and final destination for this all India char dham yatra will commence in the morning, by taking a flight. Once you arrive in Rajkot you will be duly checked in to your allotted hotel where you will be spending your night. During the evening time you can go on a kathiawadi food binge and buy some local souvenirs. *your destination will depend on the flight availability.
From Rajkot, you will set out to the land of Lord Krishna, Dwarka, which is located at a distance of 4.5 hours. Upon your arrival in Dwarka you will be taken for a brief sightseeing tour of the city starting with a visit to Rukmini temple (dedicated to Lord Krishna’s wife), Bet Dwarka which is also known as Shankhodhar which is actually an inhabited island on the mouth of gulf of Kutch at a distance of 30 km from Dwarka. Finally, you will be taken back to your hotel in Rajkot where you will enjoy the delicious local Gujarati cuisine
